I think the pr teams need to find better phrases nowadays; "offers staggering performance. The 0-62mph sprint is covered in “a little over four seconds”, so the company says. I don't call that staggering performance, I call that high performance. Bugatti with their 0-62 in 2.6seconds is in the stagerring performance category or "balls out mental" for a road car. Also never understood why it is "staggering performance", I have seen my own staggering performances, and none of them are particularly quick. Thank god for wide pavements.

Staggering in the fact that for the staggering price, an American muscle car one fourth the price should not be able to match the performance. :omg: My last "staggering performance" got me in trouble with the wife. :)
It was broke, so I fixed it.

Remember that there are no straight roads longer than a quater mile on our tiny island so we have the added technical difficulty of making cars that go around corners at the same time as going from 0-62. We have to use airport runways to test American imports for the same reason and of course because they're generally to big to get out of the Supermarket car park. :)

I've always thought it was odd that the performance specs of the "big motor" cars far exceeded the speed limits and design of our highway system. Don't get me wrong it would be nice to be able to afford performance vehicles and have an outlet to drive them. (Other than the highways filled with frightened, angry and inexperienced drivers.) Even stranger are the massive SUVs fully tricked out for off-road duty that only make trips to the mall and soccer practice. I laugh when I see the Mini touted as a small luxury vehicle over here. The Mini always has and always will be, to me, the car that Mr. Bean drives. :)
It was broke, so I fixed it.

This one[^] is not too bad but it's not the fastest mini, oh no that's Mr Bean's 600 BHP special. Clarkson drove it once and all he would say was 'It makes your ears bleed', nothing else not even a joke, it has no top speed because no Stig mad enough to post one could be found and of course it has a detachable steering wheel which means it whoops the Aston on performance and practicality :-D I've been hunting for a clip or reference on the Web but it must have been classified, I can't find any mention of it. :( Not the one that featured on Top Gear but this one[^] is probably even faster although not as cool. Mr Bean's special was done by one of the large Japanese firms. They made a working scale model of a Benetton Formula 1 engine that would fit in the Mini's engine bay, tweaked it and the suspension for balance and left everything else absolutely as per the classic. You couldn't tell the difference looking at it parked up until the key was turned and the road started shaking

I think I'd feel something of a nob parking that in Tescos.
Regards, Rob Philpott.
If you can afford a car like that, Tescos is the last place you'd go shopping. It would have to be Waitrose. Nothing else will do.
