A new heuristic for lightweight frameworks

If it's too complex to keep in your head while editing without a proper IDE, it's not lightweight any more! I'm currently cobbling together a miniature Java MVC servlet engine in Notepad++ and an Ant build script. This thought occurred to me. (It is easily small enough at the moment, no worries there.)
