"Unknown error" when launching VS2010

As the title says. Launching devenv.exe with /log [somefile.xml] shows the following in the XML file: Error or timeout while initializing non-volatile pkgdef cache Google doesn't return anything particularly useful. Any hint? This is right after installing Red Gate's ANTS profiler. Uninstalling it doesn't help.
