Java Decompilers

Hey all. What do you guys think of issues regarding Java Decompilers. I have this dumb essay due tomorrow and I need some ideas. Any good sites with CS essays? Thanks
Did you try http://www-106.ibm.com/developerworks/java/library/j-obfus/?loc=crtheme[^]? Make sure you change some of the word ordering before you submit it as your own ;) But I, being poor, have only my dreams. Thanks, Great source, but I can't hand it in since I have to write about issues surrounding it and not how it works, etc.
OH. My Opinion then, Decompiling Sucks most of the time. For issues try looking at some of the .net sites and see what people have to say about it since the MS community is newly exposed to it. Mabey even MSDN will have an article on dealing with the necassary evils of things like IL or ByteCode. In the end I think it boils down to a simple point. If you are a commerical entity trying to make money off of software that is at risk of being de-compiled you better make damn sure thay you do all you can to cover your behind. I have even seen companys obfuscate native code on their flagship products. There will always be somebody out there trying to crack your code. But I, being poor, have only my dreams. I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly, because you tread on my dreams. - Yeats
