Amazing how the U.S. uses movie magic and propaganda to control wars. http://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2013/05/ghost-army-the-inflatable-tanks-that-fooled-hitler/276137/[^]

Scissors cuts paper, paper covers rock, rock crushes lizard, lizard poisons Spock, Spock smashes scissors, scissors decapitates lizard, lizard eats paper, paper disproves Spock, Spock vaporizes rock, and as it always has, rock crushes scissors. :)

In 1967 the soviets doctored satellite imagery to show a build up of Israeli forces on the Syrian border - it triggered a war (which would have happened anyway but it happened sooner because of this)

Everyone does this ... wasn't it the Russians who had whole divisions of cardboard/plywood tanks?

Interesting. I had never heard of it. Then again, I went to public school so that could be why.

I knew of this effort having read about it. Biggest problem with the invasion was keeping Rommel's troops up near Calais until the Allies had enough troops in France. What I did not know was that they were used later in the war when the Allies were driving into Germany. I would NOT want to face a Tiger or Panther under any circumstances and especially with an inflatable tank. Definite ballsy.

Charlie Gilley You're going to tell me what I want to know, or I'm going to beat you to death in your own house. "Where liberty dwells, there is my country." B. Franklin, 1783 “They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” BF, 1759
