I'm finding that if I drink about a half a can of Coke or Pepsi and I start to feel "icky". I prefer ice water with lemon, iced tea, or even a Margarita. Something about soda pop these days is really messing with me. Anyone else lose their ability to enjoy pop?

I mostly stay away from it now. Drinking a whole soda makes me feel icky. I try to bring a bag of apples to work every week so I have something to munch on when I'm feeling a craving.

I've almost given up soda, in fact sugar in general and overall my health has improved greatly.

I echo what other have expressed: poison. Why would anyone drink that stuff? Any of your preferred alternatives are better. (Moderation on the Margarita.) :)

Do you mean cola intolerant?  What about other sodas like Sprite or Fanta?  I switched from Coke/Pepsi to Sprite several years ago. /ravi

I think it is sweet, fizzy drinks intolerant. I cannot drink Sprite at all.

Most people drink the same thing over and over. Variety is the spice of life, plus if you are sick and drink it you may develop an aversion (studies show : ) ). Add variety. Sprite, 7up, Dr. Pepper, Orange Soda, Grape Soda, Diet Coke, Pepsi, Pepsi Max, Coke, Cherry Coke, Cherry Dr. Pepper, the list goes on. Just keep rotating. I don't normally drink Grape Soda, but every now and then it really hits the spot.

Both Coke and Pepsi contains caffeine, so if you are already consuming more than 4 cups of coffee (USA's 1 cup means almost 6 cups), it's just lot of caffeine. Cut down a little bit on coffee. :)

So, since I am about to start my 5th 12 ounce cup of coffee for the day (full test, not decaf), is that considered too much?

Real men never feel "icky". They're either blowin' chunks, or not.

Avoid the stuff. Way too sweet for me, and the artificial sweeteners taste much worse to me than real sugar. Besides, it is all chemical, and undoubtedly most of those chemicals will eventually be proven to be bad for your health, just like margarine. Remember when my father had a heart attack, and we were suppose to avoid butter. My mother almost immediately decided did not like the taste of margarine, and we went back to butter. Maybe allowed my father to live a lot longer.
