Films what I watched this weekend
-
As I'm bored waiting for may wage slip to turn up and no-one is being boring on here at the moment, let alone interesting. I watched five films at the weekend; That's My Boy[^] - Adam Sandler. He was very annoying with a stupid accent, I laughed more and louder at this film than I have at anything for quite a long time. It was childish and puerile and unpleasant and utterly, utterly ridiculous. I found it very, very funny. Madagascar 3[^] - I think they've jumped the shark. I just didn't find it very realistic. Wreck It Ralph[^] - excellent. Watch it, even if you have to borrow a child to be able to do so. The Castle[^] - Australian low budget film that I have seen a couple of times before. I think it is wonderful. Utterly charming and very funny. Apparently it has not been well received outside of Australia, but I think it is ace. The best thing about the film? Well it's just the vibe, the vibe of the flim. Blackball[^] - I've seen this before, and I find it funny, but then I like very gentle British comedies like this. So, tell me I'm dreaming, then what you've watched.

Errm, it wasn't a documentary. Actually, it was the Madagascar film I enjoyed the most - even the kids preferred it to the first two.

I agree, but you have to be careful with the whole borrowing kids part. Make sure you give them back afterwards. The Castle - A superb film.
I was brought up to respect my elders. I don't respect many people nowadays.

This weekend we watched The Producers and Billy Elliot. Right now I am watching season 1 of The Wire and topping up my swearing.

The film The Producers, or the film of the stage show of the film The Producers? I loved The Wire, it is not the sort of thing I usually watch, but I often watched 2 or 3 episodes one after the other. Never seen Billy Elliot.

I had plans to make a movie marathon this weekend but i just didn't have the time. I watched only one movie called Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki (Wolf children Ame and Yuki) and second season of Game of Thrones.

It was the original film; classic. Billy is a good film, despite it being set Oop North; their is a lot of high quality F&C swearing as well. The Wire and M*A*S*H are my staple brain foods. When there's nothing to do I will often resort tyo watching one or t'other.

M*A*S*H is a great 70s show, I currently have seasons 1 - 3 on DVD.

That's Adam Sandler all over. Not what most people would call great movies, but irresistible.

This weekend I was able to watch the following: Man of Steel - I quite like it. Never did see the first reboot that everyone hated. Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol - Just fun movies to watch when you aren't expecting much. Dawn of the Dragon Hunter - Horrible movie, but I like to watch the horrible ones every now and again to torture my kids.

Saw it this weekend in IMAX 3D. Probably going to be my favorite movie of 2013. Wasn't a fan of Superman Returns. Though, I will say that Man of Steel did suffer the flaw that it trampled all over the integrity of Superman (such as the trucker incident). Totally worth it though; made for an awesome movie.
