Hello, the CPians around the world;) P2P application is the socket program with the client and server at the same time on one machine. I don't understand why MSFT focuses only on Windows XP. That is, Windows except XP will not be avaliable the application created by P2P SDK on only XP. Use the socket program by WinSock API, CAysncSocket MFC or socket by C# for P2P application. -Masaaki Onishi (eCoolSoft)- ASP.NET Web and Windows Application Development by C# and MFC. eCoolWebPanelBar(BETA) is availabe now. http://www.ecoolsoft.com

Simple, MS wants to push everyone to XP and get rid of the 9x install base, because the 9x codebase is now dead and supporting it is not profitable. For example, in WMP 9 there are many features (like the taskbar mode player, which is totally sweet) that only work in XP. They are purposely disabled in 2000, for no other reason than 2000 != XP. There is no technical reason those features wouldn't work in 2000. --Mike-- The Internet is a place where absolutely nothing happens.   -- Strong Bad 1ClickPicGrabber - Grab & organize pictures from your favorite web pages, with 1 click!
