I switch between gwid and G.U.I.D., but I think I use gwid more often. A lot of people around me say goo-id though.

I say gwid but most people I have known say it goo-id. It sounds funny that way to me. Of course when I saw gwid they all laugh. :)

Which one do you pronounce that way? NA zis or NA tsies. It sounds like you are saying one you pronounce NA like nap and another you pronounce NAW like gnaw. Which is which?

Plus for lazy people, you cut it down to one syllable with qwid :-D (the main reason I never adapted to goo-id!)

For my amusement I am curious how people pronounce GUID. Based on someone's joke last week I doubt this survey will go well because of accents. The joke was about knotsies (little knots) and Nazis. In American they rhyme but apparently in English (British) they don't so lots of people did not get the joke. Anyway, let's see how this goes. Vote if you dare. http://www.codeproject.com/script/Surveys/VoteForm.aspx?srvid=1482[^] NOTE: There is no bacon option so if that ruins your day just move along and don't vote. :)

As it is a Scots word, it should be pronounced gyd. (As in "A Guid New Year tae yin an aw".)

No, that one was the prepost. This is the post. Wow! Digging up the past. I'm turning into my wife. I can't remember who I told what to and when. I can't remember a few hours ago let alone last year. However, this post has a shiny survey so can it really be called a repost? I dare say no.
