Just add a hex prefix - there are only 15 alternate universes..

Yes - but in one of them, there are 27 alternatives- so you need to check which one you are in.

:-D Clever. All three of you. Are the ones we've not seen before (fellow) Aussies too?

Kinda makes you wonder if multiple personality disorder is a manifestation of the multiverse. And really, I thought every quantum randomness resulted in a branching of the time line into all possibilities, so what's this about only a few multiverses? It does raise the question of whether the cardinality of the number of multiverses is a mere aleph null, or really big.

I'm guessing it's somewhere around 7.5. That last .5 doesn't make sense in this universe, but maybe it does in that one.

We'll still have to switch to MUIDS once we send Jet Li to a different multiverse.

Since one of the weird hypotheses in physics is that our universe is actually a simulation, what happens if we simulate the universe? Are there recursive MUIDS? Would that break the internet or would people still be using Javascript?

I don't really know as I don't communicate with my alter-egos in universes 3 or D, and sporadically in the others. As _Maxxx_.8 said above, there are (potentially) a different number of alternates in each alternate - so if I communicate with Me.8 he could communicate with Me.8.3 (which should be me) but also Me.8.H - to which I have no direct access. To date, I am uncertain if all of the Mes in other paralellisms are Aussies, but they do all rather like their beer, call people 'Mate' and have a tendency to add an 'O' or 'IE' to the ends of words (Milko, Straddie) so chances are good that that is the case. Although they also dislike Vegemite1 - which also suggests they are not native to that land. 1 Me.B reports that Vegemite is now a prohibited substance under the latest government having introduced the PC rule - not because it is black, but because it may offend vegetarians.

You must be absolutely mad, _Maxxx_. Does the you in this universe seriously like Vegemite? I tried it once (15 years ago), and the damn taste is still in my mouth.

As an ex-pat Pommie who ruled to embrace Australian culture post emigration (none of this hanging around with other brits, going to the British clubs, celebrating Xmas when it's cold rather than on the lords birthday etc.) my one failing is my immense dislike for Vegemite. Fortunately one can purchase Marmite here. I also rather prefer a nice English bitter to most of the Australian brew - but do my best to stick to Aussie beers. Oh, and my saying "g'day mate" in, what others tell me, is a distinctly English accent is also a give away.
