There is a man I know, albeit not very well, who is more of a good friend of a friend of mine. Last night he came into the pub and informed me that he had taken the liberty of doing me a favour with regards to my company logo. The original can be seen Here[^] He has done Logo 1[^] and Logo 2[^] Which do you all prefer?

Logo 1, and the short form of just the 3 buckets for icons (e.g. favicon), avatars etc.

Good idea. (About the buckets for the favicon). I shall attend to it tomorrow. Design is a funny thing. The technical side I can deal with, commercial, pricing and accountancy, I have them sorted. Marketing I take advice from a couple of people better versed in those dark arts. But design... I think this guy will have to get something for his troubles, they are very good. It is a natural talent that I do not possess.

The three buckets. Not crazy about the font, though. No suggestions, however, since I'm in the same boat as you, design-wise. ;P

It needs some tweaking though. The handles aren't defined enough and need to be thicker.

I think PJ Arends has a point but I prefer number two in any case, it could be seen as that you have more than enough. You should stylise the bucket more to make it more clear. (And make it an old-fashioned enamelled steel bucket at the same time instead of a cheapo plastic one.) I don't like the change of weight between INK and Bucket But that's just a personal opinion. INK and Bucket does not have the same baseline, it drops a couple of pixels. That's a bigger problem <edit>fixed typo</edit>

Second for me. I don't like the CYM buckets , they somehow look both too bright and washed out against the white. Also, it'll date more IMO, and it'll be harder to turn into an emoticon. The second one conveys the company name better, but you need to sort out the kerning on the word bucket.

Hi, I like Logo 2 the most. What I would try (Just to see if it looks nice.) is change the colors of the letters just like Google or Ebay do, I think it's a little to much red in the Logo right now. One other small thing I noticed on your webpage is that it states: Ink Bucket Ltd © 2010 and I would change that.

                                          With friendly greetings,:) Eric Goedhart
