Yuck. I think it's nonsense when you hear people going on about how one day we will only have flies and insects to eat because somewhere along the line every other type of food disappeared.

First, the demand for meat will not double in the next 40 years; that's a rediculous idea. Second, an insect does not contain "meat". Take away the skeleton and it oozes all over the place. Even Soylent Green has more potential than maggot-meat.

While it might be true that the "product" may contain the necessary protein, I am pretty sure that it would be hanging offense where I live to suggest that fly larva would be a suitable substitute for BBQ <T>. And you would have to pry my steak knife out of my cold dead hands.... (I don't have a gun)* *Shocking huh? An American that does not own a gun.
