When I was a child, I wanted a Griffin. I was studying recombinant DNA technology and I was confident I could create one. But Mum was unwilling to secure the necessary eagle eggs and lion semen. Of course now, my daughters get swimming lessons because they wanted them.

Of course what you wanted was Eagle semen and Lion eggs. Had your mum known that, she could have got the former from the appropriately named Randy Meisner, and the latter from any supermarket - heck they even put a stamp on them so you knew they were Lion eggs!
