Surface Pro 2 not available 'til December

According to Microsoft's Store, they'll ship the 4GB/64GB model by 10/22, the 4GB/128GB by 10/25, and the 2 versions with 8GB will ship by 12/15 So..do you interpret this as a sign of great demand, of manufacturing problems, or something else entirely? Meantime, Best Buy is showing the Haswell version of the Lenovo Yoga with 8GB and a 256GB SSD for $1,199 online. Unfortunately, it's "not available online" and no store within a couple of hundred miles has it, so... What's taking manufacturers so long to get their Haswell-based products into wide availability?
Remember, they have to go back to the landfill site and look for them, dig them up, and see if they can fool enough people into buying one.
If there is one thing more dangerous than getting between a bear and her cubs it's getting between my wife and her chocolate.

I don't know the price of the surface or v2 model but my guess is releasing the v2 whilst v1 stocks are high would mean a price cut of the v1 model to make it more appealing to purchase.

They have not clue how the tablet/smartphone business is run. At the time you make an announcement, you set a real known release date with pre-ordering available at the date of the announcement.
I'd rather be phishing!

why voting sth down what is so amusing because of it´s lack of knowledge... furthermore, there should be an ironical upvote button... :-\

As I recall, we lost that along with our collective sense of humor.

Because you don't need to.

And you didn't need to reply, but yet it happened.

But I don't reply out of spite or to be vindictive. ;)

No. More like "I voted someone up because of, let´s say, an admirable blindfolded statement"... ;)
