I have used it in IE9 and Chrome and it remembers me the old dial-up days! Worse, the Tabbed style has gone and the Basic version do not include it! To me, it's kind of backward move :(

I hate it and have run into way too many bugs. One reason I stuck with Yahoo Mail over Gmail are the tabs. It's really annoying to be writing an email, need to refer to another email and have to awkwardly switch back and forth. The other day, when responding to an email, Yahoo went into a refresh cycle about every ten seconds, which made it almost impossible to finish writing the email--shutting off "conversations" was a huge help. Even before the change, I've noticed that Yahoo Mail opens a huge number of connections and most of the problems I've with flash crashing are Yahoo ads. Unfortunately, Yahoo doesn't provide an easy way to dump my saved emails to disk. Regardless, I'm seriously considering switching to my GMail account.

They need to stop changing the design and start fixing the bugs. But the latest change has added some performance boost. It feels lightweight than the previous versions.

Another failure, just as gmail (not that bad as yahoo, but still). The only decent UI/usability and responsiveness I have is on outlook.com. Outlook is *the* email client - others are simply lame, or for hardcore guys, I suppose - and I'm glad outlook.com tries to follow the paradigm. Yahoo just steps on the user, as does gmail with labels and crap. Long live the PM which fucks up the themes and icons while still forget that the user wants to read email and not be social. Benefits of replacing C++ with scripting, I suppose.

Amen to that. It is lightweight, but opening a Fiddler on yahoo.com still makes me feel like in a campaign when 3 zerg attacks you.

I use it mainly to receive emails, so can't say much. However, I thought the tabbed interface was one of its best features and I was kind of hoping that Gmail and Outlook.com would follow suit! On a related matter the recent second revamp of Yahoo! Groups has been disastrous, just like the one they pulled after a couple of weeks three years ago. But they seem to be sticking to their guns this time around. Yahoo! have a reputation for regressing in usability as far as I'm concerned.

To me, am very much satisfied with new Yahoo Mail. Why? well, from that day when i updated it, i like it's improved UI, less mail loading time(especially for it), more advanced options, mail format etc. I would like to test it in IE10 or 11,or if you wish in Firefox or Opera's updated version.I'm sure you will get it's benefit, in IE9 it is too much slow than what it actually is! :-D
