A Laptop with Dual monitors?
-
You can plug a monitor into the video port of your laptop and use both the screen on your laptop as well as the external one.

I was just told that I get to go to a client site for two days a week minimum. My biggest objection is not having dual monitors. How fantastic would it be if there was a laptop that had dual monitors built in. Has anybody ever heard of one, cause I would like to make it required equipment before I go there to work :-D Hogan
I remember reading about Lenovo coming up with something like that a while back. I went searching for it and lo and behold, it really does exist! ThinkPad W700ds[^] They also have a pretty wicked multi-monitor setup with their docking stations, too: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/detail.page?LegacyDocID=MIGR-76617[^] ** Update ** Okay, I didn't see that anyone else had responded, and as soon as I posted it showed me the first response was the same one I was thinking. Great minds, and all that jazz :)

Hwa? It would hardly be a laptop, then. I'm on a laptop now, with an umpty-tum inch monitor plugged into it -- that's "dual", even if the screens are different sizes.

WOW! It's got a non-fondleable fondle-slab on the side! And it's got Vista, too! Verily, we have found the Holy Grail!

I didn't say it was optimal - I wanted to point out that technically, you don't need to spend money on a docking station.
