Anyone else had the latest Android keyboard update pushed out to your tablet yet? I already hate it: all the punctuation has moved, and I can't find anything... why aren't ' and " and - on the main page anymore? What happened to shift and punctuation? Gah! :mad:

Yeah, I absolutely hate it. Worse, the update added a redundant shortcut bar at the bottom of my screen, neither of which can be removed. Execution also appears more jumpy. I tried to roll it back, ended up doing a factory reset and losing all of my data, and in the end was forced to reinstall the new OS and learn to live with it. I was NOT a happy camper. X|

You should get a blackberry, there the keyboard never moves... :laugh: I truly have not tested any 10 device, but the 9300 I own is an old phone very limited and sometimes it gets frozen...

I thought it was swiftkey that had done that on my Galaxy 4S. So it turns out it was Google - the bar stewards!:mad: It was mighty annoying for a while as I tried to find the numbers as they were to the right with punctuation to the left. They violated one of the, as far as I am concerned, inviolable rules of UI design - don't change the frickin' user interface input method without the consent of the user!

It changed on SwiftKey yesterday - the numbers are now to the left of the punctuation.

I use the one that comes with Google PinYin input; it's a lot better than the vanilla one, and less likely to be messed with.
