a vote regarding goto statement

When I posted this goto statement[^] comment I didn't think it would grow as such. I think I touched a deeply controversial topic in the development world. I then suggested on CodeProject to vote regarding GOTO and they replied on me with this old vote[^]

It's a topic that has been "discussed" once too often. While it has its uses in procedural languages, it rarely has one in a modern OO language. Its use is discouraged simply because it makes it hard to follow the programs' flow, often resulting in what is known as spaghetti-code. A simple mind would summon that up as "goto is bad". The best practice nowadays would be ravioli-code. What controverse?
