Hi we've noticed that our old 16 bit apps here at work eat up (or report to) all the available CPU even though they might not be doin a heck of a lot of processing. Now rewriting the app is unfortunately out of the question :( and i was wondering if there was a way to "tell" windows that this 16 bit app is only allowed X amount of CPY MHz (say 100Mhz) or whether there was a plugin, some sort of container or something that these apps could be set to run in (and still let them access the com ports, modem and net connection of course :) ) does anyone have any ideas of how to control these naughty 16 bit apps? regards bryce

The only suggestion that I'd have is to lower the CPU priority in the Task Manager on the process. Frank "Keyboard Error - Press F1 to Continue"

What speed are the CPU(s)? There is a bug in NTVDM in CPUs >= 2Ghz. Microsoft have a patch but you need to request it from them OR if you want I can send it to you.
