    I am trying to install Oracle 8i on Windows 2000 system. I use Active Directory in that system, when i finished I log in "Administrator Assistant for Windows NT" using my "administrator" account (I verified that this as count belong to Oracle DBA group) but I show message that "Invalid Password" Please Help Me, Thank

      Not exactly the right forum, but I'll take a stab at this--I didn't think Oracle 8i used NT user authentication (or whatever it's called) or maybe it's an option. Isn't user "system" pswd "admin" the default sysadmin account for Oracle? (This could be total BS BTW. I haven't used Oracle now for 2 years! In fact, I just tossed my Oracle 9i CD. Figured I'll never use it--all that Java crap, etc. Much as I hate to admit it, I'm much happier with Access and SQL Server now). Marc Help!         When you installed a fresh Oracle 8i with a default Database (bad idea, it's configured poorly) you can either log on as 'system' pwd 'manager' or 'sys' pwd 'change_on_install'. Both are DBAs dirk
