So..... Anyone got any experience with these or indeed any others that you would recommend? 1. LastPasss LastPass[^] 2. KeepPass KeePass[^] 3. Identity Safe IdentitySafe[^] (I have Norton) I like the idea of automatic entry on web forms so LastPass and Identity Safe seem better from that angle. I like the idea of OS and local only storage so KeePass seems better from that angle. It's for me and the family, so overly demanding on "techiness" probably won't work sonce it will probably not be used by everyone... Any thoughts welcome. Thanks, M

I use lastpass and have no problems with it - just about zero set up or learning curve - does what it advertises. Only issue I had was that the mobile versions cost money, and you really need it on every device

I too use keepass -- and it does automatic entry on web forms, so that's not a reason to exclude it.

I use keepass too... I love that there's an Android app version. I also carry a lite version of it on my phone, when I need a password on a computer and I have my phone, I just hook up my phone and bam, I have Keepass AND my encrypted database. :thumbsup::cool:

I use KeePass. I prefer to keep my passwords where I can see them and back them up than trust them to the cloudy internet. I don't really care how secure t'internet could/would/should be.

Why? If it's implemented properly, you should be able to make everything except the private key public. If you have to hide how the program works to keep the information secure, then it's not secure.

I have used both Keepass and Lastpass. It has been a couple of years since I used Keepass but I couldn't get the web integration working consistently. Other than that it was great. I switched to Lastpass and would have to say it is my favorite. The lastpass database is encrypted on your system, and the encrypted database is sent to lastpass. They can not open it. Every browser I have that has the lastpass add-on in has all of my passwords. I even use it to keep none web passwords. So for me lastpass was more convenient for my needs and I don't have to carry around a usb stick.

Thanks, last time I used it there was no apparent 'touchless' integration with browsers, but I've had a look at the webpage and there are browser plugins, I might give it another go...if LastPass doesn't catch my eye first

Based on what I can see LastPass appears more user friendly but KeePass has the advantage of the only person I can blame for losing my passwords will be me.
