So with my ad fill rate on Pubcenter handing around 11%, I figured I'd look into other options for ad providers on my Windows 8 app. I found InMobi and immediately fell in love with it. I downloaded the SDK, integrated it into my app, and fired up a debug session to see if it was working. For some reason though, I kept getting all of these "InMobi NETWORK_ERROR" messages. I searched it out and found this: social.MDSN[^] Note post five:

...InMobi as an ad network does not serve ads on desktops and laptops. As you pointed out, you will be able to install the SDK on a machine running Windows 8, but at our backend there is a userAgent check which determines what system (i.e phone, tablet, desktop) is being used. If the userAgent is a laptop or a desktop the ad will not be served.

What in the world!? Windows 8 is more than tablets! But it gets worse: Not only does InMobi not support laptops or desktops, they don't really support Windows 8 at all! They only support Windows RT! Arrghhhh!!!! I'm through with InMobi no matter what platform I'm on.

Perhaps the clue is in the 'mobi' part of their name ?

True, however their website says "Windows 8/RT" They can't really have the "8" in there at all.

Hack the user agent and blast them.
