          First, upgrade the PC to the lastest version: Best Windows 8[^]. You should then find most of your problems just disappear...

            that how to install windows 8 Professional on a machine which already has windows 8.1 basic because Hyper V is available on Windows Professional and for some projects like mobile Apps development you need Hyper V :mad:

            Windows 8.1 is a free upgrade so if you have Windows 8 Pro - you have Windows 8.1 Pro. Download it and install over 8.1 basic...
