Hi, Long time member question, the code project is not affiliated to Microsoft is it? I only ask this as there are links on MSDN page and recommendations to articles. From the various things that are said I am pretty sure MS does not pay the salary, I wouldn't have thought the ads would pay all the hamsters salary (sun flower seeds are getting pricy) so does Bob have a day time job and do this on the side, or a rich relative funding Gordons from beyond our galaxy?

CP is funded from the membership subscriptions. I personally think that $3,000 a year is a bit steep, but yt gives me a forum for crap joes, so I keep paying.

How did you manage to get it that cheaply? They charge me $10,000 and $50 per crap joke ... it's nearly bankrupting me!

:( Apparently I exceeded my monthly allowance once too many times! They offered me a choice, either $50 a joke or help in the 'quick answers' for 30 seconds ... no choice really!

CP isn't affiliated with MS, and if you look at the links for advertising with CP you'd see that the ad revenue network is much bigger than just this site, they have an entire entity (Developer Media) set up to handle it. Chris doesn't pay the hamsters very much, so they moonlight in Kia Soul commercials[^]. Chris should be careful though, the latest commercial[^] shows they lost a lot of cheap hamster feed weight and are attending movie premiers. I figure soon they will be discovered and CP will go dark.
