Very happy with my Lumia 920, flawless performance, great camera, battery life could be better though. Currently eyeing the Luma 1520 because its Full HD 6-inch screen would make it an ultra-portable tablet :) Just bought the Lumia 625 for my son, has a large 4,7-inch screen, works great so far. My mother uses a Lumia 620, not very happy with the camera, touchscreen tends to be a little quirky at times. My wife is still using a Lumia 800, also happy with it, but it is time to get her a new Windows 8 phone, probably going to buy the 925.

I forced convinced all of them because that way I can provide end-user support :) But I have to admit that my wife still misses the Sony Vivaz she previously owned because it was neat and had a great camera - unlike the Lumia 800, first generation Lumias were good, but not great.

Currently rocking a Lumia 620. Very affordable, really good phone. It's fast, runs everything very smoothly, battery duration is very good unless you have 3g + wifi + gps all activated which is to be expected. My only complain is the search button. I handle my phone with one hand, and the base of the thumb sometimes presses the search button (which opens Bing) while reaching for the letters on the far left of the keyboard. Over time I got used to avoid it, but sometimes it still touch it very slightly and Bing shows up. Those are the only times I pressed that button.

I have a Nokia 1020. Very, very happy with it. The camera is freaking awesome, but if that is not of a concern I'd go for one of the cheaper models. It is freaking awesome though ;-)

I've had a Lumia 920 for about a year and I love it, best I've ever owned. At first, there was a glitch with the firmware, but the Nokia Software Updater (now version 4.1.0) took care of it. The Amber update was rock solid, as was Black. I use the phone all the time (email, SMS, Kindle, and best of all navigation). Nokia's turn-by-turn navigation requires no connection of any kind (no WiFi, no cellular data) if you download the country map(s) when connected to WiFi ahead of time. It has too many features that I love to list here (Glance, the camera and the camera software, etc.)
May I ask in what country and region are you, and on what carrier? How is the call quality?

That was my experience too - I had a Lumia 800 (purchased just before WP8 announced as not backward-compatible). It was good at the time, but the latest generation (I have a 1020) are just awesome.

I bought my 920 in the Philippines, it is an open phone. I mostly use it in Europe on the Vodafone network. Right now I am in SE Asia (Bali, Indonesia and the Philippines), this weekend I am off to Hong Kong, then Helsinki and Budapest. The call quality is superb, albeit in the Philippines dropped calls are the norm. It is not Nokia's fault, the same thing happens on my wife's LG Optima.

I have a 925 and love it. I wish it had more storage or an sd card slot, but i've never had a problem with lag or delays that couldnt be attributed to poor data connection where i was.

I had the Lumia 920. Loved it. Great performance, great screen, great camera. Then I dropped it on a rock and the screen broke.. Now I have the 1020, which is basically like the 920 but with an even better camera. The camera on the 1020 is *unbelievable*. Based on your needs it sounds like you would be very happy with the 920.

My wife has a 1520 and I have a 925 - wonderful products. COntrary to how I see most people using their smartphones, my wife and I primarily use them as phones (to talk to people - we let birds tweet or tootle or whatever) and the volume and quality is much better than average. As neither of us are obsessive phone app abusers, I have no issues around "not enough apps" - your mileage may vary depending on what you currently depend on. Neither of us have any regrets regarding the retirement of our HTC or iPhone. Both have excellent life even with Netflix, Hulu and Pandora. All seem to last a "waking" day (7-12) and I have only once had to charge during the day as I normally charge the phone every night. Memory seems to be more than sufficient and Web browsing over WiFi is a dream, and over the AT&T network is acceptable (Thats the carriers fault not the phones). I also got a 2520 pad with the phones and I have only 2 peeves with the 2520 - its 1080p (1920x1080) so even modern sites look crappy with a LOT of white space, and Nokia is VERY late with the keyboard/cover (i'm backordered) the ONLY thing preventing this pad from being the ultimate businessman's tool. I can use the full office apps but the popup keyboard is obtrusive. Because of the resolution, you'll need a stylus or thin fingers when in the "old" windows apps. Otherwise it is a solid windows product. My business partner keeps using my 2520 for demos rather than his iPad.
Nothing is impossible, we just don't know the way of it yet.
