We realized we didn't have a succinct name for something today & wondered if anyone else had. These are bracket () These are braces or curly brackets {} These are quotation marks "" But these are less-than, greater-than signs <> Hardly rolls off the tongue, does it? How about pointy brackets? [EDIT] I mean when used as a pair (eg in HTML tags) - individually, the names are fine What do you think/use? Regards, Stewart

Some people call them "less" and "great"[^] or "wahka"[^], apparently.

What is this talk of release? I do not release software. My software escapes leaving a bloody trail of designers and quality assurance people in its wake.

 Good girl, that's right you are in charge :) What is this strange mark or number in their ears ? We should ask Bob to put a cat smiley in here.

A tattoo with an ID number in case they should get lost (they won't, because the are all indoor cats, but it good to be on the safe side). It was normal before to do that, and the numbers are registered in case it should be necessary to identify them. Nowadays, cats are marked with a chip under the skin - which is better, because it hurts less when they are marked.

I heard about the chip. Currently my kitties don't have, but i ever leave for somewhere with them(i really hope so) they will get one. I never saw or even heard about putting tattoos in their ears. We have no laws about identifying lost cats.

It's not a law here either, but good practise. Another advantage with the chip over the tattoo is that the chip is always readable. The tattoo behaves just like a human tattoo - it flows out and becomes less readable over time...

Thanks! Actually, I have TWO cats that are all white and have odd eyes (and a red one with normal yellow eyes)... You might think that I was collecting them... :-D Proof[^] It's Ramses on the right, Curry is the red one and Iris on the left. She's the youngest of them, but she's regularly beating up the two guys...

According to what criteria? :) We once had them arranged by spine colour. That was actually much nicer than the alphabetic arrangement... But you are right; Right now we are "arranging"them according to the wind direction...
