          They see nothing about cutting the cost for we the consumers, wanting to buy copies of W8.1. I hope there their cost cutting plan goes unnoticed. :p

            Yeah, it frustrates me when the most expensive component in my latest computer build is a copy of Windows 8.1 Pro OEM...

              The Windows monopoly won't die in my lifetime because they can always give away the software and then charge for expansions, templates, bonus features...if it comes to that. They still own the business market and have an insane percentage of the home computing market...plus they're making a charage on mobile fronts which has caught my eye with the Surface 2 Pro. A price drop is always welcome though!
