There was a story in SA some years ago of a pup being partly swallowed by a snake. The snake was beaten and the pup, still alive, was freed. The name they gave the pup was slangkos (snake food).
If there is one thing more dangerous than getting between a bear and her cubs it's getting between my wife and her chocolate.

In some things moderation is actually preferred. As a kid the only source of pocket money I had was catching various reptile and selling them to a couple of reptile park, never lost my love of them, spider on the other hand get the thong - no not the that type, you probably call them flip flops.

I grew up in Arizona and I've killed a lot of rattle snakes but never caught them. Looking back I probably could have sold them for venom but as clumsy as I am I probably would have used more anti venom then I would have brought in. :)
