Write Code Every Day (CodeProject Challenge)
-
First article I read this morning "Write Code Every Day" by John Resig Link: Write Code Every Day This article is simply one of the best blog posts I have read in a long time and covers all of the issues and solutions I've looked into when working on side projects, big credit to the guy for writing it. Can I make a suggestion to Chris and the team? We turn this into a Code Project Challenge? Hell of a way to advertise Workspaces in my opinion.

I should really try that with my study courses... It's harder than you'd think. Especially when math is involved. One hour of that stuff drives me up the wall :sigh:

Wait, what? Isn't your "no comment" a comment. Repepepetition is excusable but paradox intolerable.

The difference is slight, but there. I personally do not like maths either, yet I like to optimize my architecture and SW design (algorithms) - I guess in my case it is 'abstract math' versus 'exciting real life data'. Plus, I don't mind doing math if it leads to something that is actually used rather than an entry in a textbook I'll probably never going to look at again.
I will never again mention that Dalek Dave was the poster of the One Millionth Lounge Post, nor that it was complete drivel.

Actually he didn't really say "maths", did he? ;P
Whether I think I can, or think I can't, I am always bloody right!

I didn't. I just started and it stuck. So far I didn't need any math either (except stuff like a customer orders 100kg of a product and has to pay $10 per kg...). That's the sort of math I can understand. When it gets a bit rougher I say N(O) to math though :)

You see, I'd argue that algorithms are an expression of mathematical logic. People seem to have taken "maths" to mean high-falutin' theory somehow.
