When will somebody release an app that enables me to set off a self-destruct countdown with a Star Trek style verbal code? The phone could make all the same countdown noises as the show, then switch off.

I used that for the shutdown event sound on one of my computers. Damned if I know where that WAV file is now.

I wanna be a eunuchs developer! Pass me a bread knife!

! Back in the day, I programmed an engine overload using the QBasic sound API in windows 3.11. Left it runing one day to see how high the pitch would go(it was increasing as time went on). Came back from the coffee machine to see one of the sales guys trying to have a normal conversation on the phone while sitting right next to it. It was screaming out a tremendous racket and this guy was shouting down the phone.

You must have had a good set of speakers, whenever I've experimented with sound API the sound drops to pretty much zero around 10kHz with integrated speakers.

            Not really, just beepers.

Yeah! Trouble is I'd need a Siri/Cortana/Android Voice API plus all that fiddling around with horrible Eclipse add-ons and emulators. Maybe if I don't sell my Big Box with the higher spec I'll slave it to Android app production. :omg:

If only there were a place where developers gathered... ;)

Actually, this sounds like a perfect question for QA. They love it when people ask for someone to write them an app. It's great. :)

                        System.Diagnostics.Corbomite ?

You'll never get very far if all you do is follow instructions.
