36 updates were installed on my Windows 7 64-bit computer yesterday and for some reason, the start up time has gone up considerably. Anyone else facing this? And, even in Outlook 2010, if I flag an email for follow up, there is a message that Outlook 2003 could not find category for follow up (or something like that). Funny.

My CP workspace: Incredibly trivial and probably useless code samples[^]

I didn't like Windows 8 on the desktop, but now that I have a touch laptop using 8.1, I can finally use it properly, and I LOVE Windows 8 now! My only complaint is the lack of apps and the poor quality of apps when I go into tablet mode!

You should review what updates were installed. Most likely is either a KB update affecting/being adversed by some add in (most common cause), or could be a new component added to Outlook, such a Hotmail connector, which may perform additional work (looking up for Hotmail accounts, contacting live.com etc.). Hard to say without hands-on the local machine.
