Looming US Hog Shortage ... Where's the BACON?!!

Oh, the Hog-manity!! (Although, I'm not exactly interested in bacon-covered killer viruses...) Killer virus spreads unchecked through US hog belt[^]
Well, if they didn't keep pigs in the most unsanitary (and not to mention cruel) environments for these meat "factories", then maybe these diseases wouldn't become so rampant. Then again, maybe when a good sized hurricane hits the Atlantic seaboard and dumps millions of tons of pig sh*t[^] into the water and people start to get sick, someone will finally take notice. Or read this article[^]. We need to be thinking about where our food is coming from and making better choices. Marc

Not sure what the bounty would be, but it's a thought...
