On the long run, the later *could* be related to the chocolate.

I will never again mention that Dalek Dave was the poster of the One Millionth Lounge Post, nor that it was complete drivel.

You don't want Ali to hear you say that! :~ Not that Ali is overweight - far from it, I suspect - but saying "chocolate is fattening" is like saying "bacon is bad for you". Clearly, false information! ;)

I first heard the term here: http://www.amazon.com/Chocolate-Consuming-Passion-Sandra-Boynton/dp/0894801996[^] many years ago. It's a book for people who like chocolate. Using "like" as in "I like to breathe".

Unfortunately not! About half of the natural chocolate is cocoa butter, and that is a pure vegetable fat! You have to eat dark/unsweetened chocolate (70% or over) to minimize the amount of cocoa butter - and to maximize the pleasure

Myth No. 2 "Chocolate is fattening." A crucial factor has been overlooked in this widespread condemnation of chocolate: Most chocolate eaters tend to supplement their chocolate intake with other foods. By what right, what logic can chocolate be singled out as the cause of plumpness? How can we be certain that, say, carrots are not a catalyst of weight-gain when chocolate is present? And there is empirical evidence that also raises serious doubts about chocolate's fatteningness: Few chocolate lovers can simply lie back and wait for chocolate to come to them. For most, getting and keeping chocolate often requires strenuous physical work. --- Sandra Boynton, "Chocolate: the Consuming Passion"

Chocolate is made from cacao and the cacao is a fruit of a plant. Clearly chocolate is vegetable! It cannot be bad for you :D Don't believe anyone who says otherwise, they try to lower the consummation of this food of Bob, so there will be more for them. Ali will agree with me, because this is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Chocolate and bacon are both fattening. Like all high energy foods, the appropriate remedy is to do enough exercise that you can enjoy them without getting fat :) In my case the fatty food of choice is cheese and oils in savoury dishes, as well as eating a lot of carbs. But the remedy is much the same.

I haven't looked at CP since the end of last week, so please forgive me for bringing up an old post, but I believe it is in everyone's best interest to familiarize yourselves with the vows that members of the Repost Police needs to take:

                                    Quote:

Reposters gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall tolerate no repost, hold no hands, forgive no laziness. I shall search for the source and provide a link to it. I shall live and die at my post. I am the downvoter in the darkness. I am the watcher of the forums. I am the fire that burns the lazy, the light that exposes the dumb, the hero that larts the lusers, the shield that guards the realms of CP. I pledge my life and honor to the Repost Police, for this post and all the posts to come.

The vows are usually taken in the presence of Bob, the hamsters and a Leslie Nielsen shrine.

What is this talk of release? I do not release software. My software escapes leaving a bloody trail of designers and quality assurance people in its wake.

Squirrels in autumn get very fat indeed. If they don't, they die during hibernation and spring.

So, anything vegetable is absolutely OK ? In that case i can think of a few plants in my garden you might care to try (this time of year: Lily of the valley), you wouldn't derive much pleasure from them and certainly not for long. Mind you, getting fat definitely becomes a thing of the past. ;P
