I think I can help you with that. On my briefly visits in the Q&A forum i noticed few things. 1) if in the comments and/ or Solution section this member has a post you don't need to make an effort to answer anything. No matter what you write, know, or how long you know it you are wrong. 2)If the same member replies after your post be ready to get an short explanation of few paragraphs(250 words +) why you are wrong and you need to give up programming, and go to work in some fast food chain 3)Even if Chuck Norris is scared to answer or say something to the same member. 4)If you get downvoted i am sure that the member has pretty good idea why and by whom. If you are nice you can get a little essay explaining where you are wrong.See 2)

It wouldn't be him because as you pointed out in 2, if he downvotes he explains why. He gets a posting point for explaining why.

If you think that's bad, wait until you piss off some teenager by telling him you won't do his homework for him so he comes back and downvotes every single post of yours that he finds. Seriously, don't let it bother you. The points mean exactly nothing and the fact that someone downvoted you means exactly zero.

I haven't downvoted you either, but if I can give you a piece of advice: Change your username to "Laiju Khan". Writing in all caps upsets certain people, and it looks childish and unprofessional. It COULD have something to do with it, but of course, I cannot tell for sure. Just my five cents. [EDIT] Try to use proper capitalization. That is very important to give people the proper impression. In your post here, your subject is "downvoting without comments", "downvoting" should of course start with a capital D (as all sentences start with a capital letter), otherwise you give people the impression that you are sloppy, illiterate or just don't care about what you're doing... [/EDIT]

She used the joke icon. :) Although some of them are true IMO, I don't recommend you to be afraid of that member. If you know your solution is better, defend it. Just like what Kornfeld did. Just be sure to deliver your side clearly and politely so you won't be misunderstood. ;)

Yes, but not everyone sticks to the rules. Remember that there are over 10,000,000 members here, and that is bound to include at least one troll or unicellular life-form.

Thanks for that. It can happen with teenagers But I have read in "Code Project Rating and Reputation FAQ" in Help => General FAQ. Downvote without comments cannot be treated as proper one.

Not just teenagers either! We do have some members who seem to be trying to make a career by getting us to do their (paid) work for them. They can be dickheads just as much as students...

Ignore it. Rep points aren't convertible into money, and if you let the downvoter know it annoys you then he wins - it gives him an incentive to do it again because it means he is having an effect. We all get stalkers from time to time: some are upvote stalkers who will give you a 5 for anything and everything you post, even if it's just "LOL". Some are downvoters who will go through your history and downvote everything you have ever done. It's not important, and it doesn't matter - unless you actually let it matter to you: and then they win.
