I still have one of the two email addresses I had in 99. It's configured to be sucked into my gmail account where all the spam is automatically eaten; but if someone were to send a legit email to it, I should still receive it. (The other one was a school account and was turned off shortly after I graduated - they wanted $$ to keep it alive and it was enough of a spam cesspit that I'd largely abandoned it 2 years prior.)

Did the lounge then really go months between new threads, or'd a lot of posts get eaten when someone forgot to feed the hamsters on a long weekend. :doh:

I joined here on August 24th 2002. I seem to recall lurking for some time before that. Still, that was a quick (almost) 12 years and I'm still addicted. Get all stroppy if I don't get my daily does of insults on CP. :-)

So here I was, sitting on the couch minding my own business, when suddenly I was 2 years old again! And then I turned 100! And everything went black, and suddenly I walked among dinosaurs and at the same time I watched flying cars coming by... And I thought to myself "who the heck is causing this disturbance...?" And I went to the lounge (first place I'm looking when stuff like that happens), and here you are. Well, a tyrannosaurus ripped my pants, so I'm sending you my bill for a new pair.
It's an OO world.

That's a while ago. It's kinda scary to think that I've been here since October 2000, though!
