They tested and decide to make it the new industry standard ;P ;P

Yes - that's what we pay them to be allowed to do... :sigh:

Hello all, I've decided to go the IMAP way at our company... (phone change and multiple devices without Exchange)... Now that we are here, it looks like Outlook 2013 doesn't like IMAP at all... and I'm having lots of problems: non synchronizing folders, Sent items go there only after applying a rule... Today I've received a really old message as unread into the Junk folder. X| In case I'm trying to get something to work which won't (there are several places around that show complaints regarding that)... which would be your recommendation on a mail client? I've tried Mozilla Thunderbird and it just worked... (It is uglier than Outlook and makes less things, but it works...) I'm about to propose every single user in the company to switch to Thunderbird, but before doing that (which will be difficult for everyone)... Can Outlook 2013 work well with IMAP? should I do something to get it working as expected? Thank you in advance!

There are good reasons to use outlook, mainly calendar, tasks, notes, integration with other products, available add-ins the main reason not to use outlook is performance. It is slow, especially so when working with IMAP although the performance with exchange isn't blistering The particular issue you describe could also be down to other devices that are accessing the account. In particular I have seen old messages resurrected when accounts are also used on phones so not sure that the desktop client is always the one to blame I have seen email servers that attempt to make imap behave more like exchange (older versions of FTGate for one) and experience suggests that it is worth turning these "enhancements" off to see if they improve the situation

Sorry Joan but I can offer nil assistance on this one. However, with a great little break from it all, you may be able to come up with the answer. Gran Premi Monster Energy De Catalunya 15th June at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Just down the road from where you live. ...and it is pretty well guaranteed that a Spaniard will be Victorious. This is the one international sport where Spain is so far ahead of the rest of the world. Go there Murty and you will enjoy it immensely. Especially since you have driven around the track in a car, so you know the the track. I will be barracking for one young Spaniard for sure.

 Yes, you are right, I truly hope to have it arranged before the 15th, but... (crossing-fingers). Yay! I hope Marquez will do it! I'm afraid I won't be able to go... X| working issues (a little orange robot is giving us some headache and must be finished around those dates). Yes, I still remember the Lamborghini and the Ferrari... Quite better than the small thing I drive usually... Most of the motor pilots that are great in Spain are Catalan, we do have plenty of world champions and winners in different motor categories... it looks like we are all ill of gasoline fever...

Thank you Mike, at the end the biggest issue was Avira... the antivirus software was trying to check each message transaction and made it impossible for outlook to synch correctly... X| Looks like it's time to change the antivirus software at our company...
