I call rubbish, the entire premise of this test is flawed, the base assumption that a 13 year old boy is human is just wrong. The next issue is, have you ever tried talking to a 13yo, a series of grunts and ughs is the height of their conversation, simulating that should be no problem.

The methodology is flawed. You can convince 30% of humans that anything is true. This should be a double blind test. How many humans can convince an observer they are human?

Uh oh, my kid turns thirteen in just over two weeks. :omg:

You'll never get very far if all you do is follow instructions.

Turing test is simply a crap: even an real human can pass it.

In testa che avete, signor di Ceprano?

Turing test is not really a test for artificial intelligence, it's rather a test for human simulation which is far from intelligence.

Good idea. Start the butt kissing now so when they take over you can be their "assistant." :)

Computers have been intelligent for a long time now. It just so happens that the program writers are about as effective as a room full of monkeys trying to crank out a copy of Hamlet. The interesting thing about software is it can not reproduce, until it can.

A computer posing as a teenage boy - all responses were meaningless grunts, and so were completely indistinguishable from the real thing!
