I will start this discussion knowing that it is not really meant for the lounge entirely but it seems easier as to the objective I have :-). I thought to raise a question but I know full well that if your wording is not right or it is not really a question you might just get burned by the unholy flames some of CP question master will call down on your pathetic attempt at a question :~ So my question is as follows, is there at all an easier way to get the values to display that Acrobat reader puts as value holders in a pdf? I got this project that has already all the coded values in the pdf but of course I am not 100% sure where exactly the values are, so without a legal copy of Acrobat reader I am unable to see the coded value holders of each item. Has anyone by any chance have a way around this or know what I can google for without getting useless results like this[‹ ]?

You could also try here Adobe forum[^] To answer your question directly - I would suggest looking into ITextSharp, it should allow you to analyse the contents of PDFs.

You could also try here Adobe forum[^] To answer your question directly - I would suggest looking into ITextSharp, it should allow you to analyse the contents of PDFs.

Most of the time in QA you don;t have to phrase it exactly right - we're pretty good at working out what you want to know. But...if you meet A Certain Person then you need it to be absolutely right, with proper terms, nouns, and sentence structure or it'll get deleted... :sigh:

I spent some time having to recreate PDFs in C# if you've ever had to do this you'll understand when I say it nearly drove me loopy. There are quite a few tools out there but a very easy one to pick up is PDF Edit. It'll let you see the values. Link: http://pdfedit.cz/en/index.html[^]
