I (and others) have often asked Chris for a proper API, but time/resource restrictions meant Chris never really made anything available for that. I've often heard from others than something's in the works but have no idea if that's true and if so when that'll be available.

Not yet. You have to scrape the website and lot of articles are available inside CP using this way.

Thanks. But i was looking for something more. like user validation and allowing user to post something on website.
