you seem to care a lot about what they are calling the next version and what everyone else is calling it. Prior to the release of 8 people were calling it 8 despite the fact it hadn't been officially named and did that change the world? really if that is the only thing you have to worry about then just be thankful and stop trying to wind us up. I cannot understand why someone with the experience you claim to have would give a fig what they call the next version

You cant outrun the world, but there is no harm in getting a head start Real stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time.

I care about credibility of programmers, who I am learning clearly have none, and these threads make it easy to show the public that you don't have credibility.

If you're trying to convince me of your beliefs I'm an old man and have my own. If you're trying to teach me you've not proved your point sufficiently. If you're just being an asshole, I understand we all have off days.

As I grow older I've found that pleasing everyone is impossible but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.

DOS to Windows was a big change.

No, it wasn't. The pre 95 versions of Windows were a graphics shell which ran on top of DOS - it was DOS with a pretty face and memory management. 95 was different - and better - because it wasn't DOS based.

True, but at least with DOS if you knew what you wanted you could do. No as user friendly but you hit the metal near enough! :) ...

If you know what you are doing in Windows 8, you can do things that you didn't even know where possible, so go to Microsoft Virtual Academy and learn about Windows 8, instead of talking out your ass.

Oh no... CSS has returned to the forums... I thought he was banished to the Back Room and eventually scared off... I'll have to start another quotables thread...

No it wasn't. Microsoft bought DOS. It had nothing to do with Bill Gates. Perhaps you would care to share some more of your revisionist history.

You should shut up before you display more of your ignorance, you idiot!

If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.-John Q. Adams
You must accept one of two basic premises: Either we are alone in the universe, or we are not alone in the universe. And either way, the implications are staggering.-Wernher von Braun
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.-Albert Einstein

But what if that person is full of sh*t?, as apparently most people are.

Yes most people are full of shit. The Code Project is suppose to be a credible news source not a tabloid.
