They're going to start naming them after...well not animals, maybe beer? Windows Carlsberg has a certain ring to it, no?

Shirley, given their locale, it would be coffee-based beverages. Mobile versions could be "short", laptop versions could be "tall", desktop versions could be "grande", and server versions could be "venti". "Americano" would have IE pre-installed. "Kona" would be good for surfing.

You'll never get very far if all you do is follow instructions.

I wonder..., after Windows 9, will Microsoft release Windows A?

Windows 10 has the code name Etch-a-schetch. :)

As I grow older I've found that pleasing everyone is impossible but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.

I'm pretty sure I heard someone say that there isn't going to be a windows 9, so the point is moot.

Please don't joke about it (there were several Dilbert cartoons where Wally replaced the pointy haired bosses Tablet with an Etch-A-Sketch...)

Ah, the old "reverse Star Trek movie" rule. That must mean that, after Windows 10, we can look forward to a shiny new version of DOS 1.0[^] (directed by J. J. Abrams), now with even more lens-flare[^].
