What was the first car you ever drove?

Mine was a 15 year old Toyota Corolla - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:1980-1983_Toyota_Corolla_(KE70)_station_wagon_02.jpg[^] I remember it with a great love...

Mine was a Ford Fiesta https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Fiesta[^] fourth gen. Didn't own it. Instructors car (so no Steppin' Wolf :) !)

I believe it was a 1946 Buick[^], I was 16, I had just left home and didn't have a license but I bought for $300 dollars.
Have you ever just looked at someone and knew the wheel was turning but the hamster was dead? Trying to understand the behavior of some people is like trying to smell the color 9.
Seem to remember a Sea Sick Steve documentary he reckoned you could buy a junker for $50 in the South...

When I got out of the service in 70 and returned home my brother had bought an old car that didn't have a hood and he carried a case of oil in the back seat. When I asked him about the oil he said at every stoplight the passenger would have to get out and wipe oil off the windshield and at every other light the driver would have to get out and put a quart of oil in and the passenger would wipe the window. He didn't have it very long. Thank god!

Learn to drive in a Ford pickup. Dad used the truck for deliveries, so when I wrapped it around a tree they got me a '62 Ford Falcon, this was around 1973. You could not kill the car. Put in new floor boards when the old ones rusted out. Swore it ran on four of the six cylinders. Vacuum wipers that when you step on the gas the wipers quit. Just add oil and occasionally gas and away you went. :)

Drove: This[^], but with a line of rust running about an inch above the bottom of the doors. At least until I got busy with the plastic padding and spray-paint. The interior re-defined grey. Owned: One of these[^], but featuring original pressed-steel wheels, highly tattered roof and rust. Lots or rust. Maintained the thing myself for years, until a combination of putting myself back through uni and not being able to find work afterwords forced me to sell it. Was like dating a slightly psycho model - good to look at, was an ,erm, excellent ride, but would treat you very badly and let you down at the most inconvenient times.

Mom and dad always bought big cars for my sister. She had a '53 Buick you could hold a party in the back seat without disturbing the driver. You could also remove the key once you got it started.

Best car ever[^]! Apart from the fact that it put out less Hp than a lawnmover and weighed as much as a Sherman tank while only being equipped with drum brakes. Still loved it!

That what I loved with that old Toyota - all you had is some glue to keep parts in place and you were OK...

I had two Mazda (6 and 323) in the last 12 years - the 6 was thinking it knows the road better then me, the 323 was in the garage all year...
