Thank God, we have men and women in this country who have, and are willing to, sacrifice their lives for Ed and people like him I don't remember you being in my unit back when I served 3 years of US Army followed by 3 years of National Guard, Jason. Oh, perhaps you're just an "armchair soldier"? Those willing to trade liberty for security deserve neither - Benjamin Franklin

I applaude you for serving 6 years, but did your service end the moment you were discharged? Why don't you support your country a little more. From the way you talk, I would think you were an anti-capitalist nazi.

well, ed beat me to it. but, no a picture isn't proof. and, remember, remote intel is not perfect (chinese embassy, aspirin factory). if we could get some more people to corraborate his story, i'd be convinced. -c

The guy defected and told us about a training camp where people are trained to hijack planes using an old plane. He tells us the location and we point a satellite at it. Viola! There's a plane there. Sounds like his story is corraborated.

no, it isn't. corraboration would be a 2nd person independently giving the same story. i could claim that there's a guy down the street from me training terrorists to make bombs out of Triumph Spitfires. a satellite photo of the car lot wouldn't prove anything but that i knew where to find a vintage car dealer. -c

FYI: I own a small business. It's my second. I'm a member of the Chamber of Commerce. I've run a non-profit community website where my business is located for the past 7 years. Just because I don't share your war fever for an ill-advised retribution against Iraq ("he tried to kill my daddy, boo-hoo") doesn't make me any less American. interesting, but sadly: "American officials confirmed that they had met with the former lieutenant general in Turkey but said they had not learned all that much from him. They said it was unlikely that the training on the fuselage was linked to the Sept. 11 hijackings in the US." that's what i want: a clear Saddam -> 9/11 link. until then, Saudi Arabia will stay higher on my list of countries we should invande. -c

I'm sorry for calling you an idiot, but calling the US evil for dropping the a-bombs on Japan is crazy. That just ticked me off. You might be the greatest guy in the world but I think your ideas are crazy and dangerous. I don't have war fever, but I do support the war on terror and this president. Its not about retribution because there's no reason for retribution.

I'm sorry for that. He did make me mad, but what I wrote was not necessary.

I think your ideas are crazy and dangerous As an American veteran who was serving my country to protect your right to say that while you were still in diapers, I am just going to say thank you for sharing your opinion and I'll ask some of my religious friends to pray for your soul.
