I know! I keep expecting BT to announce that it was all a prank for RND and really mine still has 299 to go. :-O

Its gonna be a while before or exchanges actually get upgraded, ours probably before yours, as we are a major city. But having said that, being a major city, we should have got it by default. A few days ago I checked the exchange and it said there were 50 people still to go, and it hadn't changed from that for months. So they must have dumped a loat of new registrations to BT from partner sites.

Still, at least there is a definate yes on the horizon now.

Bravo, UK et al! :-D What sorts of worthy causes does the funding support? It is ok for women not to like sports, so long as they nod in the right places and bring beers at the right times.

It was a very sweet thing, the guy was so happy to have a solid floor and strong walls, he even mucked in on the building work!

I'd be the first to complain if they go for Rural over Urban. They really should work that way, not "London gets it free, everywhere else can shove it" which is there current mentality. In a perfect world, everyone would get it at the same time. But in a perfect world, BT wouldn't exist.

I hope, if my circumstances can support it, to take a year out in eight-ten years or so and join one of those volunteer groups that goes out to live with these groups of people and work with them to bring them into comfortable self-suficency without forcing 1st world technology on them (which very rarely works in the long time). I'd die a happy man then for sure. Assuming of course those people are still here in eight-ten years, given the poor conditions, rampant disease, hostilities and other factors killing them off in uncomprehendable quantites.

I'm missing something here, have BT been struck by guilt that they're leaving us all out in the cold and decided to get their fingers out of their arses?
