Mel & Sue[^]'s website doesn't appear to have been touched since 2002. How has it managed to still live? The email sign works, but I haven't received anything aside from a confirmation yet (different address to the one I got the sacking on so I didn't just sign up to a virus delivery service (I'm not quite that stupid)). I wonder what the oldest website still live is, by oldest I mean longest ago modified, and why it still lives. Does someone just sign off on the invoice every couple of years without thinking, or was it paid for upfront for a long, long time? Is there anyway to find out?

Talking of Mel and Sue. What do you make of there Comedic Ability? Most people I come across(wipe it off in disgust) can't stand Sue but don't mind Mel.

My dad really, really hates Sue. "That hideous bitch" I think is how he last described her. Mel is naturally very funny because she seems a little bit mental, on 8 out of 10 cats she was very funny indeed. I can't really remember their time as a double act, can remember watching it but cannot remember if it was any good. Discovered by French & Saunders IIRC.

Oldest might possibly be this one: http://info.cern.ch/hypertext/WWW/TheProject.html[^] Not counting that, I know sometimes websites get moved to servers and just left there. When a company gets big it often can't control it's domain names well enough to know which ones it has to toss. So it keeps paying. When you have thousands, and some are going to require research to determine whether they have value, it usually just is cheaper to pay the registry fee.

I'm with your Dad on that one, really can't stand her and have no idea how she got a career. I have a theory that somebody once told her she was funny when she was 12 and she believed it. Having said that, I love the GBBO and watch it just to hate her, even watched it instead of England Norway the other week. And no I'm not Gay.
