        I live in the Netherlands and write applications for Dutch customers. I don't deal with time zones either... As far as I know most of Europe that only writes for their own country doesn't.

        It's an OO world.

        public class SanderRossel : Lazy<Person>
        {
        public void DoWork()
        {
        throw new NotSupportedException();
        }
        }

          There are many more comfortable climates where you do not need to deal with time zones for in country apps. Iceland is a little too close to Mother at her most aggressive for my taste.

            I'd prefer the Caribbean. Taime zones, Mon? Tcha! Maybe tomorrow.

              In the Netherlands? Which bit? Curaçao? Aruba? Sint Maartin? Surely they have several times zones. In the Netherlands has something we in Britain do not have, a Land Border with France. Aren't we lucky!

                I once had to explain to a lead developer in a project why his app was caclulating differently on a computer with Swedish settings or US settings... [^]

                    I seriously do not understand how this can be still be a bloody issue. Record using a proper date-time data type and format for the local time zone - 5pm in London == 12 noon in New York == 1862 in Paris.

                        :confused: Last time I checked the Netherlands doesn't have a border with France (or am I missing some obscure small piece of land that was annexed by them?) . You might be thinking of Belgium (they are different country's you know :) )
