Have a google for the EU Cookie Directive. Its been around since around late late year / early this year can't remember the exact date.
Every day, thousands of innocent plants are killed by vegetarians. Help end the violence EAT BACON
By my experience the EU Cookie Directive didn't change much, apart from some pages that let you have a choice in the matter, most pages just put up a notice saying: "This site uses cookies, if you don't like it, bugger off" What does everyone else think about the matter ?

Sometimes it does. Some websites do offer a different experience if you decline tracking cookies (functional cookies are still allowed), while others would just redirect you.
