I have always being fascinated with this. Coming from India, we are presumed to hate people from Pakistan. However, every single time I have met a Pakistani, it has been a pleasure. I do not want to go into politics or anything else. A simple question: As a normal Indian citizen, I have no hatred against any normal Pakistani citizen. Have you ever felt severe hatred against an entire nationality? If yes, why? And if not, what is the most ridiculous stereotypical hatred you are expected to show? No politics and religions please. Straight up answers. If you want a discussion, we can always go to Backroom.

Never against a nationality; just a word to describe temporary piss-markings and priviliges of the group within that territory.

Can we just hate people from a city? In which case it Paris. (Well, I also have friends form there, so it isn't universally applied. :) )

Could you explain how that isn't political/religious animosity? Could be racial I suppose but I have never heard that difference as being racial.

I'm a New Yorker... I've grown up surrounded by people of every conceivable nationality. Honestly, all humans look pretty much alike to me. I categorize people based on behavior and mannerisms (Is that redundant?), not nationality or appearance. Act like a #%(*&#, and you go in the #(*&%@# bucket.

I'm Slovenian and the stereotype is that we are presumed to not get along with Croats, Italians and maybe some other southern countries(in relation to Slovenia) like Serbian or Albanian people. I personally hold no prejudice against nations, religions and most groups people associate with. I write most groups as I do not like some extreme groups. But never because they consist of a specific nation. Every county has extreme and normal people and a different nation doesn't mean a big difference to me regarding equality. As for cultural differences, I always enjoy learning the ways of others, as well as teaching others our ways if they are open to it. Sorry for mentioning religion twice :-D :-D

As you may saw I live in a place that full of hatred based on nationality (or not based on nothing but hatred)...I by myself build a life trying not to make assumptions about someone based on nationality or any connection to an group (I can't tell you I always good at it , but getting better with each year)...I have a card inside my valet on which I have printed the words of the merchant from Aladdin: "Like so many things, it is not what outside, but what is inside that counts.", that reminds me what I'm every time I open it...

I'm not questioning your powers of observation; I'm merely remarking upon the paradox of asking a masked man who he is. (V)
