Is it really so wrong?

When adding comments to a thread lounge, is it really so wrong to throw a bit of gasoline onto the fire; or lit matches into the gasoline? I mean, if the day's going slow on the real-world side of the screen, why not liven things up on the other side?

HOW DARE YOU! For you to pile on your moral relativism as to what is wrong or not upon a thread is wholly assumptive of the pejorative declination of absolutism which binds the fibers of our being toward a more cohesive sustainable & harmonic society. :wtf: Either that, or Wearing pink & green socks with a 70's plaid suit when going to Uncle Bernie's funeral, of which an anagram of such is "real fun". :omg: Take yer pick... ;P
Humor is like a pine cone, especially when the color triangle tastes like the number 3.

Why don't you take your homophobic, woman hating, environment destroying rants elsewhere? If we'd just ban VB6 developers this forum wouldn't suck so bad.
Hello, McFly?! (or @MehGerbil ...) It's marked as "joke", with OMG's and WTFs and ;P emoticons strewn throughout. My gosh, do we need to put a legal disclaimer of JOKE ~ JOKE ... (HEY MehGerbil, yeah, it's a JOKE!) on every humor post? I mean, really, does this sentence *actually* make any real sense?!!

Then, again, were you just adding more Thread Flambé, and I missed that?! If so, my bad! -

Hey, now. Stay on topic. Everyone with the slightest thread of moral decency (and a disdain for the coding equivalent of pedophilia) is in perfect agreement with that statement. If I were you, I would not so much as dignify the thread with a self-flagellating rant. Being contrary to being contrary may still be contrary, but not if I wish it to be otherwise.

It's all relative. If it is cold outside, a little fire would warm things up.

I hate missing a good flame war when I'm on the other side of the planet. McSpudster, you are and arsehole, how dare you remove bits of the most interesting thread I have seen so far this morning.

trolling is trolling.
You need a pretty strict definition for it, though, or just about any contribution to a discussion that prolongs or extends it could be termed trolling.

Jeeze, that's trolling, if I ever saw it! Demanding strict definitions or strict adherence to definitions is a typical troll tactic! Where's the "Abuse" button?

Absolutely not! Stirring the pot is a long standing tradition here, among us original members, especially on weekends when things get a bit slow. If any of the newbies think it trolling, screw 'em. Let them find their own site and leave us to have a nice time.
