    I'm looking forward to next week's unveiling of the Motorola Droid Turbo. :cool:

    Actually that's not the droid you're looking for ;p

    It's an OO world.

    public class SanderRossel : Lazy<Person>
    {
    public void DoWork()
    {
    throw new NotSupportedException();
    }

      I'm hoping it is; my current one has a blown motivator.

        Looking pretty good. Compared it to the S4 and I might even go for that one... As it seems everything is better than my current phone though (Nokia Lumia 800) :laugh:

        If you want the latest and greatest, go for the S4; I would. (I think the S4 is the latest)

          Any recommendations? All I know is that I want an Android phone with an okay camera (at least 8 megapixel) and not to expensive (which is subjective, of course). I'm not very gadget savvy and all these phones are making my head spin... Samsung, LG, Huawei, HTC, Motorola, Acer... :wtf: Of course I'd rather just buy Nokia, but I've had it with Windows Phone. It looks nice, it works well, but it doesn't have the apps I want and Google's decision to not support synching on Windows Phone has made it pretty useless for me...

          :confused: I have a windows phone and it syncs just fine. Email is a Gmail account and I also use the Google calender without any issues. It is a windows 7.5 phone but if it works on that it should work on a 8.1 / 10 (if that's the name) as well no?

                Google decided to stop supporting Windows Sync (or whatever it's called) last year. I have Windows 7.8 (I believe) and my Gmail account that I set up about two years ago worked without any problems. It synced mail as soon as I got it, it would delete mails on the server if I deleted them on my phone, it would mark mails as read when I read them, etc. I set up a new account and it does none of that... It doesn't sync contacts at all and the best I can do with email is to check once every 15 mins, I receive sent mail in my inbox, when I delete them on my phone it doesn't delete them on the server etc. I don't use a calendar, but I know that won't sync either. I believe it would work on Windows 8.1 and probably also on 10, but I don't think Windows will catch up (any time soon) with the amount of apps that are available for Android any time soon. iPhone would've been a good go too if it weren't made and priced by Apple ;)

                      My wife had a Samsung Stratosphere (?) that went wonky after two years, then got an S4 Mini a few months back and it's started acting strange as well. (Possible user error -- she uses it for Facebook.)

                            Ah you mean that, yeah I noticed that as well but I guess it doesn't really bother me that much. It does sync (almost) instantly with my surface rt tho.

                                this kind of stuff does my head in as well but I bit the bullet and ordered a upgrade contract with a sony xperia Z3 yesterday my decision was based on battery life, camera quality, dust/water proof and commitment from sony to upgrade to Lollipop next year (I was so pissed upset at HTC that they never updated my HD2 from windows 6.5) oh and the fact that the Z3 apparently MAKES PHONE CALLS as well. Who knew you could do that away from the house of course it may all turn out to be pies in the sky but at least I am happy waiting for it to arrive Now all I need is for the indoors signal where I live to be upgraded past intermittent GPRS and I will be able to use it as well

                                  Try the Motorola G 2nd generation. 5 inch screen, dual sims and you can add an micro SD card up to 32Gb. All for £144 quid from Amazon in the UK.

                                    Looking pretty good. Compared it to the S4 and I might even go for that one... As it seems everything is better than my current phone though (Nokia Lumia 800) :laugh:

                                    I understand your frustration. You're stuck with windows phone 7, as I was (Lumia 900) and I can assure you that you would be pleased with Windows 8 phones (I currently own a Lumia 920). There are many (really, many) more apps and they are much better; the OS is much better. There are very cheap choices of windows phone. The Lumia 920 itself is very cheap now (as the current flagship is the 930) and the camera is great. Is there any app in particular you think you won't find in windows 8?

                                      The apps everyone knows about aren't the problem. Sure they all have Whatsapp (basically the only app I use), and probably some other apps I like, like IMDb app, Dilbert app, 9GAG app... It's the small apps, like a few weeks back when I was going for a walk. There was an app for walking routes in that area, but it was only available for iPhone and Android. It's those kind of apps that I'm missing on Windows Phone, simply because the smaller niche market isn't focusing on Windows Phone.
